Central Florida Plein Air Artists regularly paint out on location "en plein air", organize our own Paint Outs, Exhibits, paint in Garden and Home tours, plan painting excursions to other areas or states, sponsor Workshops and Demos, and promote plein air painting in the Central Florida area. CFPAA Painting Sites We paint every 2nd Saturday and the following Tuesday at the same location each month. Bring a lunch. Painting begins at 9am. No Painting as a group, June-July-August.

Rest of April You choose day	Painting at Wekiva Island in Longwood. You can join us at 9am near the bar. Yes, there is a bar where you can get something to drink and very mice restrooms. In addition, dogs are allowed. This place used to be called Wekiva Marina, but has changed hands and is now a beautiful oasis.
Sat - May 8	Painting at Minnehaha Park in Maitland. Meet at 9:00 am near the restrooms. There is parking on both sides of Horatio, but the lot is smaller and unpaved on the other side. RSVP Please This is the last official paint out of the season until September 2010. A Little History and Highlights Central Florida Plein Air Artists was organized as a not-for-profit group in November of 2003 for the purpose of furthering Plein Air painting in the Central Florida area. Original board members were artists, Robert Brewer, Patricia Geary, Mary J. Gray, Elisabeth Ferber, and Sharon Muldoon. Our first Invitational exhibit at Harry P. Leu Gardens in March 2004 was a resounding success. With a lot of hard work, some good publicity, and team work, we soon became well established as a "very active" and successful group of plein air artists. Mary J. Gray soon became Director and, along with Sharon Muldoon and key members, we created other venues for artists to learn, sell, and excel. Painting workshops with local, national, and international art teachers, getting a calendar of artists' work published, a website, and keeping the painting sites going created interest for new artists to join, and created public interest in plein air painting. We added some very exciting Open Invitational Paint Outs and Exhibits and decided to focus on Garden and Home tours for added ways to increase individual sales. Some highlights of the past 6 years are listed below: 2010 The Sanford Garden tour: Info to come 2009 We Participated in the first Flagler Beach Paint Out presented by the Gallery of Local Art, GOLA. Our members won 3 Honorable mentions and one 2nd place and various other prizes. Winter Park Garden Tour: April 4th. Paint Out week before. Sanford Garden Tour, April 25. Paint Out week before. Christmas Party & Painting gift Exchange 2008 CFPAA Exhibit at Metro Gallery, Orlando, FL Eola Heights Garden Tour, Orlando, FL Photos and events about Plein Air and CFPAA in particular were covered in the Orlando Sentinel on four occasions. Orlando Leisure magazine, and several newspapers in the Mount Dora and Sanford area put the spotlight on Plein Air painting and CFPAA in particular. 2007 Workshop at Leu Gardens with Morgan Samuel Price Painting excursion to St. Simon's and Jeckyl Island, GA College Park Home Tour and the Winter Park Annual Garden Tour Light Up Mt.
